Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 24, 2026 · Last Updated: April 24, 2026

The short version: Klikor stores a small amount of data locally on your device so it can connect to your desktop. This data never leaves your phone and is never sent to us or any third party. We have no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no account system in the mobile app.

Who We Are

Klikor is developed by Boord Information Technology Services, LLC. If you have questions about this privacy policy or how your data is handled, contact us at: [email protected]

What Information Klikor Stores on Your Device

Klikor stores the following data locally on your device, and only on your device:

All of this data is stored using your device's secure storage system — Keychain on iOS, EncryptedSharedPreferences on Android. It is not stored in a location accessible to other apps.

None of this data is transmitted to Klikor's servers or to any third party. We never receive it, we cannot access it, and we cannot delete it remotely.

What Information Is NOT Collected

Camera Permission

Klikor requests permission to use your camera for one specific purpose: scanning the QR code displayed by the Klikor desktop app during the initial device pairing process.

When you tap the QR scan button, the app activates your camera to read the QR code. The QR code contains your desktop's local network IP address, port, and a TLS certificate fingerprint. This information is stored on your device as described above.

No photos, images, or video are taken, saved, or transmitted at any time. The camera is not accessed in the background. The camera is not used for any purpose other than QR code scanning during pairing.

How Klikor Communicates

With your desktop (local network only)

All commands you send through Klikor — button presses, keystrokes — travel directly from your phone to your desktop over your local Wi-Fi network. This connection does not pass through Klikor's servers or any cloud service. The connection is encrypted using TLS, and your desktop's identity is verified using the certificate fingerprint from the QR code pairing process.

Because this communication happens over your local network, other devices on the same Wi-Fi network can observe that a connection exists between your phone and another device, although the content of that connection is encrypted and not visible to them.

With marketplace.klikor.io (internet)

The Klikor mobile app can browse the Klikor marketplace, which serves community-created content packs. When you browse the marketplace, your phone makes standard HTTPS requests to marketplace.klikor.io. Like any web server, this server records standard server logs, which include the requesting IP address, the URL requested, a timestamp, and the response status. These logs are used for security monitoring and diagnosing server issues. They are not used for advertising, profiling, or tracking. Content downloaded from the marketplace is delivered to your desktop application, not stored on your phone.

Data Retention

All data stored by Klikor is kept on your device until:

We do not have access to this data and cannot delete it remotely. You are in full control of it.

Standard server logs from marketplace.klikor.io are retained indefinitely for security monitoring purposes.

Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We do not share your personal information with any third party for any purpose.

Children's Privacy

Klikor is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to address the situation.

Your Privacy Rights

All users

Because Klikor stores data only on your device, you can access, review, and delete your data at any time by using the app's settings or by uninstalling the app.

California residents (CCPA)

You have the right to know what personal information we have collected, to request deletion of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Given that we do not collect personal information on our servers, there is no information for us to provide or delete on our end. If you have questions, contact [email protected].

European residents (GDPR)

The data stored by Klikor is stored locally on your device. We do not act as a data controller for that locally-stored data because we never receive or process it. If you believe any of your rights under GDPR are applicable to our processing of server log data from marketplace.klikor.io, contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

Klikor uses your device's built-in secure storage for all locally-stored data. Communication between the mobile app and your desktop is encrypted with TLS. The desktop's identity is verified using a certificate fingerprint established during the QR code pairing process. We do not have access to your data and therefore cannot suffer a server-side breach of your Klikor app data.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide notice through the app or through our website at klikor.io. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
